About the Club
The Tullahoma Kennel Club of Tennessee,
Inc. (TKC), licensed by the American Kennel Club, was
formed in 1986 to promote responsible dog ownership and interest in the sport of purebred
dogs in the Tullahoma area. Since
that time, the club has instituted many programs of benefit to the local
community and of interest to all dog lovers.
TKC offers conformation handling
and obedience training classes and sponsors two dog
shows and obedience trials each year. TKC is involved in community
service such as providing bullet- and stab-proof vests to local police dogs
through the Vest-A-Dog Program, taking Therapy
Dogs on visits to local nursing homes, conducting the Pet
Show at the Coffee County Fair each year, certifying dogs to AKC's Canine
Good Citizen program, and making Public
Education presentations to local schools,
churches, and other civic organizations.
